Wasuremashta!

Damn. I have no idea how I forgot this but last saturday I went to the Tokyo Gameshow. Tokyo gameshow = e3 which is open to the public. Which basically means less nerds but much more people. The day started out with me waiting in line. As soon as I got through the doors I ran over to the line for Advent Children with my friend Anthony. Waited in that goddamn line for a long time but oh man it was worth it. These big doors open and we were led into a room by a small japanese woman in her square enix outfit and a headset who was babbling something I couldnt understand but she led us to a giant video screen. I was a little disapointed to see that the first thing on the screen was not advent children but the disapointment quickly dispersed as soon as I realized its a new sweet short ad for Kingdom Hearts 2. I got so pumped up, I almost punched some small asian guy in the face. There were then some other shorts for other square games, finally advent children. It was just a stupid short ad. I was so pissed of. I was about to cause a riot, until... UNTIL, they opened the doors and led us to a room of goggles and headphones. They had this system so no one would videotape the movie. They then turned it on, and we got to watch 20 or 25 minutes of FF7: Advent Children. It was awsome. I couldnt understand all of it, but everyone is in it. The fights they showed were so fantastic, I pretty much had a semi through the whole thing.
I then got to walk around and played some great games. I got to play the two new naruto games, viewtiful joe 2, oh and Halo 2 was definitly playable and there in force. Heres a cool little note you can play as the covenant. Too top all of this off, I walked in between the two rooms of the convention center and there were cosplayers everywhere. Cosplay here in Japan is also a completly different story, no man fays here. Hardcore. They would just line up against the walls and all these guys with cameras would just line up to take pictures of them. A bit strange but some amazing costumes.
One thing else to talk about, the booth babes. The booth babes were pretty much the typical fare. Models payed to stand there and look like they give a shit about anything there while wearing some skimpy costume. The things I found interesting were not the girls themselves (though some were pretty damn hot) but the people reacting to them. I got some pictures of people video tapping some chick who was posted up on a car wearing a micro skirt. The sick thing was they were videotapping an upskirt shot, in front of everyone, openly for a very long time. I would say it was as funny as it was disturbing.
The Gameshow was not as big or as grand as e3 but it was still pretty damn cool. Plus I can see a lot more at the gameshow because I was a head taller then everyone there.
