Another 4 months of this shit.

      So I was surprised that when I got on my plane yesterday I was going through a complete mental deja vu. I was thinking the exact same thing I had been thinking months before getting on to a similar plane to a similar location. "How the hell did I swing this. This is the greatest con of all times." I just couldn't help but actually laugh out loud to myself, because the absurdity is just so strong. Then I snapped out of it by an 11 hour United flight. Let me just say the main difference between flying ANA, a Japanese airline, and United, an American airline. The stewardesses' for United are ugly, they are mean, and they are ugly. The food is heated trash, mixed in with some fresh fruits and vegetables to lull you into a false sense of tastiness. No games, no personal screens, but beyond all that, not that bad. The division of my flight time: 2 hours reading, half hour eating, 7 hours playing Final Fantasy Tactics (thanks Paulo), half hour eating, one hour reading, landing in Nihon. Not a bad flight but I was practically blind after that GBA binge, natural sunlight was my enemy.
      I am making this an extra long post today since I have not posted in a good amount of time, plus I fixed the commenting (thanks Anth for the referral to haloscan), plus I didn't want to leave the area tonight because I wanna try to study a little and I might randomly collapse due to jet lag if it catches up to me.
      Anyway I got my bags, walked by the customs agent, sent my bags to my dorm, hopped on the train and headed to my new home. Saw some crazy dude opening windows and yelling, saw everyone else ignoring him like he didn't exist, knew I was definitely back in Japan, coated in a warm feeling, was brought back to reality by the screeching, arrived at Higashi Funabashi eki. SO, I knew how to get to my dorm, knew the address, but did not think ahead enough to get directions from the station to the dorm so I decided the best course of action would be to take a taxi. Now I knew the dorm was only five minutes away from the station so it shouldn't be too big of an expense. The taxi driver of course had no idea where the address was, couldn't find it in his book and when he called the dispatch they were equally as clueless even though this is directly in their area of nightly work. Eventually I give them the number and they call the dorm manager, five minutes later and sen en lighter I arrived. Pictured above is the front door of this fine and proud housing institution (more on this place in later posts)I was greeted at the door by the Gaijin Sararymanu himself, Seth. Was great him again and some of the other guys, some rockstars though not so much...
      Well that leads me to know, I am settled ready for tomorrow now all I have to do is remember some Japanese (its almost all muddled up or gone) and learn some new stuff so I can go out and see the world again. I am equipped with a new list of random spots, events, esoteric museums, and what have yous to explore and lots of city with which I am looking forward to getting reacquainted. Now I am full on onigiri, inari, and royal milk tea ending this post now before it gets anymore out of hand.
