It's about time.

Well I figure I have not updated this in a while and it's about time. Basically I am pretty exhausted right now, I was basically busy from 9 this morning until about 8 tonight. That's becoming kinda typical now, though to be fair I have been spending most of the time at work just playing stupid flash internet games. Anyways, last weekend there was lots of raucous the city was kind of crapy though because there was a large section of the streets near my school shut down and blockaded off due to the IMF world bank meeting. Also the city was a mess because of the smell which was pretty bad due to all the hippies around for the big war protest. A positive note was the free concert for all the hippies, I was a little drunk during the concert so some of it gets hazy and I definitely passed out at in front of the Washington monument on a table for some of it but it was a good time. Sam definitely got a little out of line yelling at the hippies, but it was all in good taste. The bands that we saw were Theivery Corporation (awesome), Bouncing Souls, and Le Tigre. I definitely have a lot more to say about this but maybe I'll post another rant later. This week is definitely the week for meetings, and conferences and stuff of that nature. Its only Tuesday but I already can't wait for the weekend. Oh and in other news I finally succumbed to the darkside....

A new cone.

Well now, things are looking good. Been a while since I have posted so I will bring everyone up to speed, I am living in a nice little pad with two classy guys and one miscellaneous one. We immediately went to costco and bought enough toilet paper to last for a couple years (we are throwing around the idea of having a mummy party or maybe just a swinging toilet paper party). I finally am done registering for classes and such, pretty good schedule a few boring classes but nothing too hard and also some interesting ones. Of course some randomness class like always this semester its portfolio and investments and creative writing. On the plus side I get to hear terrible melodramatic poetry for which to laugh at but on the other side I have to listen to that crap. In other words "easssssyy A." I am learning to get back into the normal motions of college, I can finally get back to reading a lot again, catching up on new music, watching movies again, and of course investigating the random oddities of D.C. though I really can't hit the truly bizarre till Jon comes back from Nihon (i.e. Dragon Sea). Speaking of recreation, in the first week got written up for noisy drunkenness by the upd in the maximum security prison on our campus, and have just generally started to get reacquainted with the campus, real college life, and Wash D.C. Last night started drinking at around 6pm we did not end the night till about 4:30-5am ish, reminded me of the all nighters in Japan. It also reminded me of the pain that follows the all nighter. Oy. Oh the campus looks way different in some ways but its comfortingly similar, though my roommate swears that the new freshman are getting fatter and that its tied to the fact the average sat scores also are raising about 100 points... One other big thing, Paulos is now a refugee since he went and got his school demolished by acts of nature sweet enough he is going to Gdub now or something I am not really sure what kind of scam he has going but its a good one.
