The rumors are all true, I in fact did buy a time machine off the internet and I was actually able to travel back in time to attend a Guns n' Roses concert (by time machine I mean car, and by travel back in time I mean go to the universal amphitheater). I saw GUNS N' ROSES! Another amazing twist of fate was that opening was the man Sebastian Bach of Skid row fame(?).
The crowd was old and ready to rock out in leather pants. The guitarist for Sebastian Bach was the paramount example of eighties greatness in his leather pants/leather vest with no shirt/flying V guitar ensemble. I was worried that Axl would throw a hissy fit and not show up or at least be 4 hours late, but fortunately he was only a half hour late. It was an awe inspiring show, but I forgot how ridiculous the days were where every single song a band played would have a monster guitar solo, pretty sweet the first few songs then kinda exhausting. I cant fault them for their innate need to rock hard though.
There were some standouts in the crowd that should be acknowledged; woman rocking the jack danials muscle pants, bravo. Also feathered hair guy who dug out his lace up leather pants and elfin boots I commend you as well. Oh also there were suicide girls strippers. Yar!
