Rainy day
Sometimes when it gets real rainy like today, I like to drive real fast and pretend that the drops of water streaking up my windshield is actually time ripping open due to the intensity and speed of my honda. I like to think that the ground is flaming up and soon I will be fifty years in the past to engage in some cooky scheme with Doc Brown. These are usually the times when I get in accidents and or near death situations in my car...
I am so far gone....
Okay so I am plenty freaked out. I have realized since coming back that my worst fears have come realized. My nerd side has completly overpowered my normal well adjusted side. I thought that I was strong enough to be able to go to Japan and not become one of those sleezy nerds. Well I was able to resist being a sleaze ball but I didnt even notice I had completly not kept up my gaurd against my nerdy tendencies. I realized how far I have fallen by the realization I actually enjoy Japanese humor now. I have recently been watching Bo-bobobo-bobo and Genshiken and I fully enjoy both of them. This is bad news. First of all I am watching more then one anime series consistantly, that is sign one I have lost it. Sign too is that I used to hate Japanese humor I could not understand what was funny about some one falling over and yelling oy or some equivalent gag. At least I never have found the commentary celebrity panel shows funny, or Jiyoji funny. I may spend all day with my friends or be out all night doing something but I still find myself back home even if its like 3 am and I sit in my room watch downloaded anime on my computer, laugh at it and listen to the words and try to understand without reading the sub titles. This is so sad I think I may have to end it. On top of all this I realize I have a web site and a blog, which I actually update. I need to be deprogrammed and i need it fast. To start with my recovery I have been on a burger/mexican food/and deli food diet. I do not eat anything covered in sugar or salt or anything that has hidden crab or mayo. I am also trying to reaquant myself with American pop culture, and english books. I am trying to get the tivo hooked up to aid in my efforts but I need to wait a few days for the new cords and such. If anyone sees me and I am falling back to extreme nerd tendancies please take me down.
The return.
Soooooo 9 hours later and I am home. The flight wasnt that bad lots of good movies on the plane, saw collateral and steamboy. The meal was airplane meal but not bad, the stewerdess' gave exceptional service, and were cute in their uniforms to boot. Oh and I was lucky enough to have another IES student on the plane, curiously in the seat next to me.. Smiley Kun. Me can be happy to know that he arrived safely in Los Angeles with me. Not much interaction on the plane, parted and said my goodbye and that was truly the end of the IES experience. I spent an extra half hour at customs then I needed to though. I left my declaration form on the plane, so the customs gentleman told me to walk down a yellow line and some one would help me. Well in my sleepless and lethargic state I thought he said WAIT at the yellow line. I waited for a half hour. The guy finally turned around and let me know what a dumbjackass I am and cleaed up my confusion. Meh, shoganai. I still havnt unpacked anything or called anyone yet, but I am home and will be ready to kick it with everyone in the next couple days I just need to get some shit done and make sure I am not too strung up by the time difference.
Almost home.
So, I leave here saturday night. I arrive saturday morning. Almost all the preparations are done with. I packed last night and realized just how much stupid crap I bought. It will definitly be nice to be home and happily I have been reported that it is still sunny and beautiful back home. The weather here is great, I love the food, my host family, the A Team, everything but damn man it will be nice to be home. I wont have a room since my brother moved back and stole my room, but I dont really care I just need some where to drop my stuff. I just have to survive tomorrows sayoonara party, and I am on my plane away. I think everyone should listen to Rip Slyme man they are freakin sweet, when I get home I`ll probably post a list of music I am listening to right now but suffice it to say there is a lot of Ajikan, Rip Slyme, Kishidan, and Orange Range (I am over my 175R and Shakkalabites kick). By the way for the record, bekka sucks, english teachers suck, koga sucks, and that girl with the freakin chopstick in my pop culture class (even though in bekka so has already been mentioned) sucks balls. That is all. Too fast to live, too young to die...
The end of the world!
Holy crap, the day has finally comes the Clipps are doing better then the freakin Lakers. I smell playoffs this year, cmon clipps try not to suck again as much!
On a walkabout.
Yesterday went on a walk around Imperial Palace garden. Afterwards I went off to one of the most wonderous places since Namjatown, the national science museum. When we walked to the museum Mikey commented that it was probably just a crappy museum where they have a demonstration where they put you in a big bubble. Well we walked in anyways and in fact he was right they did have the bubble demonstration, but they also had an assortment of some random ass shit. Techno screens, tripping rooms, hanging bycicles, farting statues. This place ran the gamut on crazy shit. I dont think I learned anything about science but I am pretty sure there was no real science to learn there. Also afterwards went back to Bikkuri Ramen again for more 180yen ramen, and 350yen ramen and gyoza set. I hit up two sets, in preperation of the mighty gyoza showdown that is approaching.
